• Question: What does accelorator diagnostics mean and what do you so on a day to day basis?

      Accelerator Diagnostics – this means using detectors to see how a beam of particles (usually electrons or protons) is travelling down a beam-pipe. Are they travelling in the right place? How much energy do they have? How wide is the beam?
      My days are all different – the only thing I do every dat is answer emails, and talk to students on “I’m an Engineer…”
