      Indirectly, yes:

      The things I design for ISIS keep our particle accelerator running which allows users to come in and do science with the neutrons our accelerator produces. It’s the scientific output from ISIS that has the potential to help the environment.

      As an example, scientists have used our neutrons to do research on new hydrogen fuel storage methods for cars, and to investigate how washing powders can perform better at lower temperatures, both of which will help contribute to a more sustainable environment!
