• Question: what sort of things can you do with computer code, thats what i want to learn but i dont know what sort of job it offers?

      Computers are there to do repetitive, boring tasks that you don’t want to do (or couldn’t do without hundreds of years) yourself on paper. Being able to code in any language (I recommend Python for a beginner) is a huge advantage in any engineering or science profession these days because most experiments are basically done by computers, with us telling them what to do.

      Coding for scientific / technical applications is very different often from code for web applications or desktop applications, but they share a lot of principles. Coding is an incredibly useful skill to have in ANY profession…. I even write little scripts to get my computer to do things that I do often in everyday life.
